Event Details

First in-person meetup in London for Open Knowledge Foundation networks and those interested in getting involved with open data communities in the city. All interested participants are welcome to attend.

This will be the first of a series of London meet-ups focused on free culture and open knowledge, so we'll discuss ideas, opportunities and future event possibilities.

Light refreshments (and stickers!) included. Meet-up will be held at the Centre for Creative Collaboration, an open-concept workspace in King's Cross where the OKFN's London office is located.

Update: Are you a coder, scraper or data user? Please feel free to join us at 6:00pm for a special pre-meetup brainstorm to help shape the future of CKAN, an open data hub aimed at making it easier to find, share and reuse open content and data.

Please confirm your attendance so we know how much space to reserve. Questions? Contact event organizer Kat Braybrooke here.

On Twitter? Talk and share ideas during the event through the hashtag #opendataLDN.

Organizer

Open Knowledge Foundation Network

The OKFN is a community-focused NGO which promotes public knowledge and open data projects that deliver far-reaching societal benefits. The term ‘open knowledge’ refers to any piece of content, information or data that people are free to use, re-use and redistribute without any legal, technological or social restriction. We aim to help others develop open material as well as creating it ourselves.
